Stefan Kauth, Executive Chef at ENVY The Steakhouse at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, is a native of cologne and a graduate of Meisterschule in Heidelberg, Germany. Kauth, who has received the prestigious German Master Chef certification, enhanced his natural talents at a very young age while working at some of the finest restaurants, both nationally and internationally.

Previously serving as executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami, Kauth’s credits comprise an impressive list of restaurants including 100 South Ocean at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, where he first showcased his extraordinary talents in America. His distinguished career includes more than ten years of experience in Germany working for such renowned restaurants as Hotel Traube Tonbach, Restaurant Jorg Muller in Sylt, with three of Europe’s finest chefs as mentors, Eckard Witzigmann, Harald Wolfarth and Dieter Muller.

Kauth’s cooking philosophy is to serve the freshest products available and cook it quickly to retain the true flavors and nutrients. Kauth believes that the “dining experience should progress like a finely staged opera, offering a beautifully orchestrated event which is ultimately a very personal and memorable experience.”
